The Protestant guys in the office announced that today is John Calvin's birthday. I said, "big whoop", which elicited a response about how evil was the selling of indulgences. I shot back, "If you think the entire Protestant Reformation was over indulcgences, then you are as ignorant or foolish as one who believes the Civil War was fought solely over slavery."
