So how am I supposed to feed my kids?!?! Why doesn't he go waving cap-and-trade ideas at China and India and other major industrial countries who are contributing MOST of the 1%-2% of greenhouse gases that humans contribute?! Has he bothered to think this through in the least?
@JMHardens060703 - The term "greenhouse gasses" should be stricken from science. The greenhouse effect is a theory, not a law. Also, Oxygen is considered a "greenhouse gas".
This is a tax designed for the redistribution of wealth. There is a provision in the bill which allows the government to direct deposit money into the bank accounts of those who have lost their "purchase power" aka the poor.
@Communion_breath - You're absolutely right on the greenhouse thing. I was going for "buzzwords." And the idea of redistributing wealth is sickening. Barf!
I had played this with an Obama fan in the room. My comment to him after this was over: "Your president is kind of a moron." His response: "yeah, he's really screwing some stuff up." Like we didn't see that one coming!
@jennylynnrose - A vast number of Obama voters are beginning to see how completely ignorant they were about his record.
